Godloves Home Improvements is a Hamilton company. Our shop is at 24 Stella Ave, and owner Charles Godlove has been doing home improvement work out of Hamilton since 2005. When you hire us for a project in the township, you’re hiring a neighbor who will still be around after the job is done.

Every Part of Hamilton Township

Hamilton covers about 40 square miles and is home to more than 92,000 people, making it the most populous town in Mercer County and one of the largest in New Jersey. It doesn’t have one downtown. It’s a set of neighborhoods that each keep their own name, and we work in all of them:

  • Mercerville and the Route 33 corridor
  • Hamilton Square
  • White Horse
  • Yardville
  • Groveville
  • The neighborhoods around Veterans Park, Kuser Farm and Grounds for Sculpture

Because we’re based here, getting to your house for an estimate, a site visit or a follow-up is a short trip.

A Trenton Address, a Hamilton Home

A lot of Hamilton homes have a Trenton mailing address. The township is split across several ZIP codes, including 08610, 08619, 08620, 08690 and 08691, and the post office often labels them “Trenton.” If your mail says Trenton but your property taxes go to Hamilton Township, your home is in Hamilton, and you’re right in our backyard. Permits for work on your house go through Hamilton Township, not the City of Trenton.

Homes From Every Era

Hamilton started as Nottingham Township in 1686 and took its current name in 1842. Most of its growth came later: the population went from about 27,000 in 1930 to about 65,000 in 1960. That means the township has a little of everything. There are colonial-era houses, plenty of homes from the 1930s through the 1960s, and newer construction and retirement communities.

Each type of house brings its own surprises once the walls are open. Older homes can hide framing that isn’t square, plaster walls or worn-out wiring and plumbing. Newer homes often have builder-grade finishes that are ready for an upgrade. We’ve worked on homes from brand-new to more than a century old, including houses that needed Historical Society approval. Our approach is the same either way: do the work right, including the parts no one will see, and build beyond code minimums instead of just passing inspection.

Why Hire a Hamilton Contractor

  • We’re close. Our shop is in the township, so we’re never a long drive from your project.
  • One crew for the whole house. Carpentry, cabinetry, countertops, tile, trim, decks, siding and paint are all handled by the same team.

Before and after photos included! Chuck did an absolutely amazing job. I was at a loss as to what and how to do my kitchen, but thankfully I didn’t really have to do much thought at all! Chuck showed me the designs and helped me decide everything. When I was unsure of anything, he helped walk me through it all. It came out BEAUTIFULLY, and I absolutely love it. Thank you so much. I am just finally in love with my kitchen.
